The Psalms

This special blog has been set up for us to go through the Psalms together. Since we are studying Christian Praise on our Christian Praise Blog, there is no better book of the Bible to turn to when we want to learn all we can about Christian Praise. We will be looking at each Psalm individually over the next few months ahead and I will be sharing my perspective on how I feel we can reflect Davids praise for God through all circumstances. I am hoping that you will be able to share your comments as we go along.

Psalm is often misspelled Pslam or Pslams. This is a very easy mistake to make since many people do not use the word Psalm in their everyday language. It might be easier for you to remember how to spell it if you take into consideration that the P in Psalms is silent. Therefore we would pronounce it salms, which is very similar to songs. If we spelled it Pslams and make the P silent then it would be pronounced slams. This would be great if we were talking about baseball, but we aren’t. We are talking about songs of praise so hopefully that will help you to remember the spelling more easily. Psalms, not Pslams.
